quills that whisper is a micro label that focuses on the exploration of words and languages in spoken form as the main mediums within sounding arts. We pursue voices spoken in a meaningful way in audio works; to tells stories, to evoke certain sensations, and to makes music using the naturally exhibiting intonations. Digital and physical releases of such pieces are at times accompanied by visual correspondences. The label was founded with the aim to promote the possibility of narrative aspects in the field of sound art which is often ostracised.

The curation is co-directed by sound artist Una Lee and performance poet Augustin Waters.
